BRIT AWARDS 2016

The Brit Awards (sometimes stylised as the BRIT Awards; often simply called the Brits) are the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards, and the British equivalent of the American Grammy Awards.

2016 BRIT Awards[]

The 2016 BRIT Awards Ceremony will be the 36th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The awards ceremony will be held at The O2 in London and will be presented by Ant & Dec for the third time. Award nominations were revealed on 14 January 2016.

Ellie Goulding was nominated for two awards and the results will be released on the 24th of February. 2016. Her song "Love Me Like You Do" for the Fifty Shades of Grey Soundtrack earned her two nominations. One for the British Single of the Year and one for the British Video.

2015 BRIT Awards[]

The 2015 Brit Awards were held on 25 February 2015. This was the 35th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The awards ceremony was held at The O2 in London, presented by Ant & D for the second time.

During this year, Ellie was not nominated for any awards however she and Lewis Hamilton presented the International Female Solo Artist to Taylor Swift.

2014 BRIT Awards[]

The 2014 Brit Awards were held on 19 February 2014. It was the 34th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The awards ceremony was held at The O2 in London, presented by James Corden for the fourth consecutive year. Leading the nominations was Ellie Goulding with five nominations.

Ellie was nominated for British Female Solo Artist, British Single of the Year (for "Burn" and "I Need Your Love" along with Calvin Harris) and for the British Video (for "Burn" and "I Need Your Love" along with Calvin Harris). Out of these 4 nominations, she won the award for British Female Solo Artist.

During the ceremony, Ellie also performed the songs "Burn" and "I Need Your Love".

2011 BRIT Awards[]

The 2011 Brit Awards was held on Tuesday 15 February 2011. It was the 31st edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The award ceremony was held at The O2 in London for the first time in its history, moving from the original venue of Earls Court, also in London.

Ellie was nominated for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act . She also presented the Critics' Choice Awards along with Mark Ronson where Jessie J won that award.

2010 BRIT Awards[]

The 2010 Brit Awards took place on Tuesday 16 February 2010. It was the 30th edition of the British Phonographic Industry's annual pop music awards. The awards ceremony was held at Earls Court in London for the last time.

Goulding won the award for the "Critics Choice" at the ceremony.
