"Don't Leave" is a song by American producer Seven Lions from his extended play, Worlds Apart (2014). It is the opening track of the extended play and features English singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding.

BackgroundEdit

"Working with Ellie Goulding was such a pleasure. She has one of those voices that is so clearly recognizable and unique. I finished this track while I was on tour with Krewella last year so at the time I really wanted to make a song that would be fun to play live. Its really nice to finally have it out so I won't be the only one singing it during shows anymore."

—Seven Lions

CompositionEdit

It has a BPM of 132, a length of 6:02 and is written in B Major.

LyricsEdit

Baby I can't be what you want me to be
I've given you everything I sailed the sea
Baby there's fireworks in my heart setting off
Darling I wish
You hadn't let us fall apart

I promise I try to let this go
But I can't breathe
If only you knew how much I give you everything
You need
So in the space and time around us to waste
Baby I think I'm losing you
I can see it in your face

Don't leave
Don't leave
I need you
And I need you
Eh...

And I
And I need you
'Cause lately you've been the world to me
I need you
'Cause lately you've got the best of me

Fall apart, fall apart, fall apart

Don't leave
Don't leave

I promise I try to let this go
But I can't breathe
If only you knew how much I give you everything
You need
So in the space and time around us to waste
Baby I think I'm losing you
I can see it in your face

Don't leave
Don't leave
I need you
And I need you
I need you

Fall apart, fall apart, fall apart

Don't leave
Don't leave
